FAQs
Clear answers about managing course credentials while providers remain responsible for instruction and certification decisions.
Does Wauld provide first aid training or certify learners?
No. Wauld is a credential platform for qualified training providers. Your instructors deliver quality training, perform any required skills testing, and decide when a learner has met the course requirements. Wauld then helps you issue the credential. Wauld does not accredit a course, trainer, or training center.
Can I use Wauld for American Heart Association CPR or Red Cross programs?
You can use Wauld to manage credentials that your organization is authorized to issue. Follow the applicable program owner's rules for course delivery, assessment, branding, and credential wording. Using Wauld does not grant affiliation, approval, or authorization from another organization.
Can learners get certified through an online course?
The training provider decides which format meets its requirements. People can learn CPR concepts through online CPR instruction, but some job-based certification paths require an in-person or blended course with a hands-on assessment. Learners should confirm the right training for work before enrolling. Anyone who needs to be first aid certified should also check the specific employer or regulator requirements.
Which clinical education programs can I credential?
Providers can configure credentials for CPR and first aid, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and other emergency cardiovascular care programs. The correct course depends on the audience, including healthcare professional teams and first responders.
What should workplace first aid programs know about federal rules?
OSHA requires adequately trained people when an infirmary, clinic, or hospital is not in near proximity, and some industry standards add specific requirements. Wauld can document course completion, but your organization remains responsible for deciding whether its program is compliant with the rules for each worksite.
Does Wauld teach people how to handle an emergency situation?
No. Course instruction, training materials, and training supplies come from your provider. Experienced instructors teach learners to recognize common medical emergencies, administer CPR, and use an AED. They may also explain how to operate an AED during cardiac emergencies and how an automated external defibrillator works. CPR, or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and prompt action during cardiac arrest can help save a life. In various emergency situations, timely care can make the difference between life and death.
